This Privacy Policy explains how we care for your data in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our website, you acknowledge these terms—but don’t worry, there are no hidden legal traps here. Our goal is absolute transparency and pure digital peace.

2. Less is More: The Data We Actually Collect

Because we believe in minimalism and digital hygiene, we only ask for what is absolutely necessary to process your order correctly and legally.

  • Your Contact & Invoicing Information: Your name, email address, country, city, and postal code. To keep things as minimalist as possible, we have completely removed the fields for your exact street address and phone number. However, we do retain your country, city, and postal code to ensure your invoice is legally valid and to comply with EU tax regulations for digital goods. Your email remains your main digital address where your patterns are sent.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase a pattern, your payment is processed via fully secure, encrypted third-party partners (Stripe or PayPal). Here at Dadi Design, we never have access to your card details, nor do we store them on our server.
  • Your Account (“My Account”): If you choose to create an account, we keep your username, encrypted password, and digital download history so you can access your patterns at any time.
  • Basic Technical Data: Our server automatically logs basic technical data (like your IP address) exclusively for website security and defense against malicious bots.

3. How We Collect Your Data

All the data we have is provided directly and consciously by you, when you:

  • Download our free Hobo Bag or purchase a skirt pattern.
  • Register for an account for easier access to your files.
  • Check the opt-in box to subscribe to our newsletter and receive warm letters from our studio.

Our website is not directed at anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

4. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Basis)

We use every piece of data with a clear purpose and legal grounding:

  • Pattern Delivery (Contractual Necessity): We need to know your email to automatically send you the download links for your PDF patterns or to manage your account access.
  • Law and Accounting (Legal Obligation): We are required to keep transaction records to issue correct invoices and comply with Croatian tax laws.
  • Your Consent: Our warm letters and newsletters land in your inbox exclusively if you checked the box indicating you want to receive them.

Your data is not a commodity. We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertising agencies. Our website is completely free from Meta (Facebook) and Google marketing tracking.

We share data exclusively with a few trusted digital tools that allow us to operate our business:

  • Omnisend: Our digital postman used to safely deliver your purchased patterns and newsletters.
  • Wordfence / Hosting: Our digital bodyguards who make sure the website stays safe from cyber threats.

If any data is transferred outside the EEA (European Economic Area), we ensure that these services use the highest protection standards approved by the European Commission.

6. Your GDPR Rights (You Are in Control)

The law gives you powerful tools to control your data, and we proudly support them:

  • The Right to Fix (Rectification): If you notice a typo in your name or email, just let us know so we can fix it.

We retain your data only as long as necessary. If you have an active account, your data remains there so you can always access your patterns. Purchase and invoice records are kept for the period required by Croatian tax laws. After that, your data is permanently and securely deleted.

While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we do everything in our human and technological power to keep your creative oasis untouched.
